How is the target time calculated?

To estimate the potential time gains you could achieve, we base our calculations on the data you provided when signing up for the platform.
This includes your current level, running experience, age, the length of the program until your target event, your injury sensitivity, and various other factors.

It’s a forecast — not a guarantee

It’s impossible to predict a race time with absolute accuracy. Everyone progresses at their own pace. Some runners will improve more quickly than others — that’s totally normal. Plus, race-day variables like poor sleep, missed nutrition, or high stress can all impact performance. Still, it’s important to give you an idea of what you could achieve.

🎯 Think of it as a goal rather than a prediction

This time target is what you might be able to hit if you follow your plan closely. We fully understand that training rarely goes 100% smoothly — missed sessions or minor setbacks happen for all sorts of reasons. The more consistent you are, the more you maximize your chances of achieving that forecast.

On the flip side, if everything goes well and you hit your training sessions as prescribed, then you’re stacking the odds in your favor. That said, everyone responds differently to training, and progression rates vary — that’s completely normal!

📆 Your training isn’t based on the prediction

Your training plan is built from the reference time you gave us when starting the program. The only moment the forecasted time plays a role is during race-specific pace sessions. These happen near the end of your plan, when we start getting you used to your goal race pace.

📈 Forecasts evolve with your progress!

Once you’ve completed your first full training cycle, we’ll incorporate your actual race result into the algorithm to give you more accurate projections for your future goals.

🚫 No progression showing?

Are you following a beginner program? A return-from-injury plan? A maintenance plan? If so, it’s totally normal not to see any forecasted progression.

These are "special" plans that aren’t designed to boost your performance just yet — their goal is to get you into the right shape to start progressing in the next phase.

And for beginner plans — yes, there’s likely to be a big jump! But since we don’t know where you’re starting from, we can’t calculate a reliable prediction at this point.
