How do I set a main trail running goal?

Option #1


Via our partner Finishers, making sure the date, distance, and elevation of your race are correct. If you're not 100% confident in the information, go with Option #2.


  1. Go to the “Objectives” tab

  1. Click the “Set a goal” button

  1. Click “Set your main goal”

  1. Select the “Trail” tab

  1. Choose “Find your next race with Finishers”

  1. Search for your race using the filters or the search bar


Option #2


Enter your goal manually, including the distance, elevation, and race date.


  1. Go to the “Objectives” tab

  1. Click the “Set a goal” button

  1. Click “Set your main goal”

  1. Select the “Trail” tab

  1. Choose the “Trail - premium” tab and fill in the race-specific information

  1. Select and/or update the climb duration near your location


From the Mobile App


Option #1


Via our partner Finishers, making sure the date, distance, and elevation of your race are accurate. If you’re unsure, go with Option #2.


  1. Tap the “Objectives” tab in the bottom left of your screen

  1. Tap the orange “+” button

  1. Tap “Set your main goal”

  1. Select the “Trail” tab

  1. Choose “Find your next race with Finishers”

  1. Search for your race using filters or the search bar


Option #2


Enter your goal manually, including the distance, elevation, and race date.


  1. Go to the “Objectives” tab

  1. Tap the orange “+” button

  1. Tap “Set your main goal”

  1. Select the “Trail” tab

  1. Choose the “Trail - premium” tab and fill in your race details


You’ll then be able to indicate whether you’re coming back from a break in training, so we can include a gentle restart phase at the beginning of your plan—depending on the number of weeks between setting your goal and the race date.
